Every Ending Is Chance to Start Again Claire

Picture this: You've orchestrated the perfect at-home date for your significant other, featuring candles, vino, and a lovingly home-cooked (or lovingly ordered via app) dinner. Simply just as your person texts you that they're on their fashion, y'all realize that yous accept no idea what sort of music to play to retain the romantic ambience. After all, yous can't take your early 2000s guilty pleasance songs come up on shuffle while yous're trying to stare lovingly into your partner's eyes (nothing ruins the mood like the distinctive "youuuuuu" at the outset of "Soulja Male child." And yeah, that instance is based on a true story).

Anyway, I've got you covered with my list of the well-nigh beautiful, hopeful, and achingly romantic songs ever written (in my humble opinion). You'll have your crush/partner/Bumble engagement swooning.

"ROS" - Mac Miller

Most romantic lyrics: "I'm in your heart, I'm in your dream/ Then fuck the globe it's you and me"

Rationale: When the exterior globe becomes brutal, many couples plow inward and develop that us-against-the-world mindset. In "ROS," Mac Miller captures what it'southward like to experience close to someone, spending much of this vocal describing the fiddling things he loves about his partner, like her "stained glass" eyes, butterscotch-scented skin, and kiwi-flavored lips. The lyrics are intimate in every way, and Mac delivers them with his characteristic rawness.

"These Arms of Mine" - Otis Redding

Near romantic lyrics: "These arms of mine, they are alone/ Lonely and feeling blue/ These artillery of mine, they are yearning/ Yearning from wanting you"

Rationale: This vocal hits me right in the breast. It's impossible not to feel your arms and chest aching like Reddings' when he sings about burning to hold his lover. The music crescendos around his smooth phonation as he begs,  "And if you would permit them agree you/ Oh, how grateful I would be." It'southward such a sweet, earnest plea for love, and its focus on physicality is pretty sexy, too.

"Ex Gene" - Lauryn Hill

Virtually romantic lyrics: "Run across, no one loves you lot more than me/ and no one ever will"

Rationale: No one knows how to obliterate me emotionally quite similar Lauryn Hill does. In "Ex Factor" (and on this whole album, let's be real), she'south vulnerable, baring all her devotion to her beau. We recognize straightaway that her relationship is toxic, but Hill's honesty is and so beautiful that we apprehensive listeners have no choice merely to sit down, transfixed, and listen.

"Skinny Love" - Bon Iver

Most romantic lyrics: "Told my honey to wreck it all/ Cut out all the ropes and let me fall"

Rationale: When this vocal came out in 2007, I was in centre school. I could not cease singing information technology every bit I traipsed through my house, near-tears as I crooned about "the sink of blood and crushed veneer," as though my twelve years on earth had been rife with tragic beloved diplomacy.

Nonetheless, this song yet holds upwardly. Bon Iver is a master at depicting what it's like to fully give up yourself to someone while aware that they may hurt you in the stop. I nonetheless sing this song while I lounge around my little studio apartment, drawing on existent-life experiences this time, though I assure you that none of them involved blood-filled sinks or crushed veneers.

"Leather and Lace" - Stevie Nicks & Don Henley

Almost romantic lyrics: "Lovers forever, face up to face/ My city, your mountains/ Stay with me, stay/ I need you to beloved me/ I need you lot today/ Give me to me your leather, take from me my lace"

Rationale: This is Stevie Nicks' lyricism at its most poignant. She wrote "Leather and Lace" herself then performed information technology with Don Henley (of The Eagles) while they were dating. This duet is beautiful in and of itself, simply their chemistry and passion for each other makes it all the more than impactful. An ex played this for me once, unprompted, and I remember thinking, My God, dude. Why would y'all do this to me?

Wrecked.

The Way You Look Tonight" - Frank Sinatra

Almost romantic lyrics: "Lovely, never, never alter/ keep that breathless amuse/ won't you lot please arrange information technology?/ 'Crusade I love you/ Just the way you expect this night"

Rationale: Ah, yep. The song that plays at every wedding on world. Popular songs are popular for a reason, though, and this one endures because of the accepting, unconditional sort of love that it depicts. In addition to Sinatra'south version, I'one thousand too fractional to Fred Astaire's rendition in the 1936 motion-picture show Swing Fourth dimension and the sweet still tongue-in-cheek visuals go along with it.

"Everlasting Calorie-free" - The Black Keys

About romantic lyrics: "Permit me be your everlasting light/ Your train going abroad from hurting/ Love is the coal that makes this railroad train roll/ Permit me exist your everlasting light"

Rationale: If you lot read the lyrics without the music, the whole song sounds kind of like a late nineteenth century poem. The love in this song is so pure and hopeful, and you'll definitely gain cool-points past playing The Black Keys on a outset date.

"To Know Him Is To Beloved Him" - Amy Winehouse

Most romantic lyrics: "To know, know, know him/ Is to love, love, honey him/ Just to see that smile/ Makes my life worthwhile"

Rationale: No 1 does unbridled honey like Amy Winehouse. Her soulful vox takes centre stage in this Phil Spector cover, and if you're not already in honey, information technology will make you want to be.

"Similar Existent People Do" - Hozier

Most romantic lyrics: "I will non ask you where you came from/ I will non ask y'all, neither should you/ Honey, just put your sweet lips on my lips/ We should only osculation like real people practise"

Rationale: Here, Hozier is trying to convince his dearest interest to forget that they both accept pasts (who doesn't?) and to only dearest him. In that location's a sense that both people in the vocal consider themselves odd in some manner (again, who doesn't?), and that they've been searching for partners similar each other for ages. "Like Real People Do" reminds the states of how miraculous it feels to beloved and be loved back.

"Tin can't Take My Optics Off You" - Franki Valli & The 4 Seasons

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "You're but too good to exist true/ Tin't take my optics off of you/ You'd be like heaven to touch/ I wanna agree yous so much"

Rationale: To quote every Boomer from my home state of New Jersey: They just don't make 'em like this anymore. And information technology'due south true―this song manages to residuum emotional and sexual yearning without being crude.

And merely... the gratitude Valli feels when he sings about loving his girl so much that he thanks God he's live. My Lord. They really only do not make 'em quite like this anymore.

"Forrest Gump" - Frank Ocean

Almost romantic lyrics: "My fingertips and my lips/ They burn from the cigarettes/ Forrest Gump, yous run my mind, boy/ Running on my mind, boy"

Rationale: This is Frank Ocean's well-nigh criminally underrated song and I will fight anyone who has anything negative to say most information technology. In fact, I once made a very loud, spirited defence force of this song when I was in high school, right after Body of water's ill-received performance of it at the 2013 Grammys.

The song is told from the perspective of Jenny in the 1994 pic Forrest Gump. Information technology's about a broken, tired person coming back to their pure, enduring love afterward a keen bargain of fourth dimension has passed. It's especially meaningful, in my opinion, considering Body of water penned the vocal in the wake of his very public coming-out.

"Take Me The Mode I Am" - Ingrid Michaelson

Nigh romantic lyrics: "'Crusade I dearest you more than I could e'er promise/ And you take me the style I am"

Rationale: What a throwback! Ingrid Michaelson was responsible for some of the sweetest manic-pixie-dream-girl love songs of the early 2000s, and this one was her well-nigh popular. Michaelson rejoices in having institute a partner who loves her, flaws and all, and she responds in kind, promising to repair what her partner breaks and buy him Rogaine when his hair starts falling out. It's a promise to dearest someone forever.

"I'm Not Dead" - P!nk

Nigh romantic lyrics: "Right across the cigarette and the devilish smile/You're my fissure of sunlight/ You can do the math a g ways/ But you can't erase the facts/ That others come and others go/ But yous always come dorsum"

Rationale: This is my favorite era of P!nk'south music. In "I'k Not Dead," she writes a frank, unapologetic love song about beingness a flawed human deeply in love with some other flawed man. Waxing poetic about her and her fellow'due south (her hereafter husband, Cary Hart, by the way) tattoos and alluding to her ain mental illness, P!nk eschews all tired clichés almost love in favor of something far more authentic and affecting.

"Hannah Hunt" - Vampire Weekend

Near romantic lyrics: "A human being of faith said hidden optics could see what I was thinkin'/ I just smiled and told him/ That was but true of Hannah"

Rationale: Oh, Ezra Koenig, how y'all wound me with your beautiful words! In this song, our narrator seems to be moving around the U.S. with his beloved Hannah until she grows homesick for the east coast. Having lived in New England for effectually 7 years, I'm fractional to this vocal for its "freezing beaches" references, but it's besides a gentle tribute to the manner time glides away when you're with someone you lot dear.

"A Song For Y'all" - Donny Hathaway

Nearly romantic lyrics: "I honey you in a place/ Where at that place'due south no space or time/ I honey yous for my life/ You're a friend of mine/ And when my life is over/ Think when we were together"

Rationale: There have been many versions of this song, just this i's my favorite. It was besides Amy Winehouse's favorite. Donny Hathaway sings this with such feeling that one can't help simply experience he'southward reciting a memoir when he sings his amends to a woman he neglected to settle downwardly with because he was too busy performing around the world.

"Maps" - Aye Yep Yeahs

Most romantic lyrics: "Don't stray/ My kind's your kind/ I'll stay the same."

Rationale: Yes, this song is xc per centum simply Karen O singing "Wait, they don't love you similar I dearest you," just it's and then powerful! If y'all say something the right manner, and the accompanying music is good enough, there's no demand to embellish much more. Proof: Beyoncé conspicuously nods to this song in her 2022 single "Hold Upward." "Maps" endures, over a decade afterwards, beyond genres.

"If I Ain't Got You" - Alicia Keys

About romantic lyrics: "Some people want diamond rings/ Some just want everything/ Only everything means nothing/ If I ain't got you"

Rationale: This song is all the more touching when you think that she wrote it merely as she was outset to go famous. She promises that her renown―the fruit of all her labor―along with promises of riches, jewelry, or endless life would all mean nil if she didn't have her homo.

"Pine Tree Lines" - Told Slant

Most romantic lines: "I am the girl my parents made/ Why don't yous love me anyway/ 'Cause I love the way yous take upward infinite"

Rationale: Devastating genius. Pb singer Felix Walworth delivers this vocal and then earnestly that his voice literally cracks during that concluding line. I've never heard a simpler or more than startlingly authentic depiction of adoration than loving the mode someone takes upward space.

"Inevitable" - Shakira

Most romantic lyrics: "To be even more honest/ No 1 thinks about you lot/ The style I do" (Translated from Spanish)

Rationale: Shakira spends most of this song laying out all her imperfections―that she doesn't know how to make coffee, that she doesn't sympathize soccer, that she oversleeps, etc.―and then gain to enquire her human being to love her anyway.

"I Found Yous" - Alabama Shakes

Most romantic lyrics: "I call up all them lonely days/ I traveled out on my own/ Then yous brought me everything/ You fabricated my house a home"

Rationale: This is a celebration of finally finding your person. And then who ameliorate to listen to it with than your person? Romantic, indeed.

"Rag Doll" - Franki Valli & The Four Seasons

Most romantic lines: "I'd change her deplorable rags/ Into glad rags if I could/ My folks won't let me/ 'Cause they say that she's no good."

Rationale: Another 4 Seasons vocal, yes. I'm from Jersey. Sue me.

Franki Valli declares his unconditional dearest for a girl much poorer than he is, fantasizing virtually replacing her tattered clothes with lace and finery. In spite of her poverty, he ends the song by crying, "I love you merely the way you are."

He wants to give everything to someone who tin offer him nothing fabric. All he wants is her.

"Since I've Been Loving Y'all" - Led Zeppelin

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "But baby, since I've been loving you, yeah/ I'm about to lose my worried listen/ Oh, yeah"

Rationale: Human, these lyrics look so underwhelming when written down sans musical accompaniment. It'southward tragic.

What makes this song and so romantic, to me, is the organ and bass work past John Paul Jones pair with Robert Constitute's searing vocals. It'southward a power blues song that hits you right in the gut. If desperate desire were a sound, this would be it.

"You Got Me" - Erykah Badu and The Roots

Most romantic lines: "If y'all don't worry 'tour where/ I been or who I saw  or/ What club I went to with my homies/ Baby, don't worry, you lot know that y'all got me"

Rationale: I cried when I saw this alive. Erykah reassures her boyfriend during the chorus that she'll always be loyal to him, while Black Thought (lead MC of The Roots) uses his verses to tell the story of a lifelong romance. It'south the best love song in hip hop, hands down.

"(Yous Make Me Feel Similar) A Natural Woman - Aretha Franklin

Almost romantic lyrics: "When my soul was in the lost and found/ You came along to claim it/ I didn't know just what was wrong with me/ 'Til your osculation helped me name it"

Rationale: We should heal ourselves rather than await effectually for someone to heal u.s., just that doesn't mean that love can't be a healing experience. It's really romantic to thank someone for making you feel good, and that'south precisely what this song (written by the flawless Carole King) is about.

"Jade" - Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros

Nigh romantic lyrics: "We tin't aid but follow, she's Buddha, but lookout her/ She moves like an old gypsy adult female just swears she'south a girl/ And all that she asks nosotros'll let her/ For Jade is the girl of the hour"

Rationale: Alex Ebert wrote this song for Jade Castrinos when they were both still dating and all the same the frontpeople of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. The song is a quiet love letter to Castrinos―you lot could imagine Ebert singing information technology to her at nighttime past the campfire while the residual of the band is asleep (that'southward this band'south vibe, really). It's a shame that nosotros no longer get to watch the sweet relationship between these talented musicians, merely at least we'll e'er have this hippie honey vocal.

"Wild Horses" - The Rolling Stones

About romantic lyrics: "Graceless lady/ Yous know who I am/ You know I can't let yous/ Slide through my easily/ Wild horses/ Couldn't drag me away"

Rationale: One of the wildest bands of the '60s and '70s too happened to write one of the most poignant songs about dear and devotion. This is nigh a long, deep intimacy between two people, and of being physically unable to resist the person you adore.

"Jim Bogart" - The Front Bottoms

Most romantic lyrics: "I would sleep better on your floor/ Than I would ever in my bed/ And if your carpet makes my face itch/ It'd still be heaven in my head"

Rationale: "Jim Bogart" opens with the above lyrics, sung with lead singer Brian Sella's signature raw vocals. He abandons all pride in his love for this daughter, promising to practice his guitar every nighttime, to sleep on her floor without complaint, and to to ignore his md's advice―all to win her love. We shouldn't take to debase ourselves for love (*rolls eyes* aye, yeah aye), only this is art. And if we're being honest, this sentiment is relatable for anyone who's prayed for their dear to be reciprocated.

"Loving You lot" - Elvis Presley

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "If I'm seen with someone new/ Don't exist blue, don't you lot be blue/ I'll be faithful, I'll exist true/ Always true, truthful to yous"

Rationale: Elvis tells his dearest not to get jealous or to believe the hype around him and other women, reassuring her that she'south the 1 for him. Although multiple sources have claimed that Elvis did, indeed, crook on his wife, Priscilla, this remains his sweetest love song.

"Melissa" - The Allman Brothers Ring

Most romantic lyrics: "Knowing many, loving none/ Bearin' sorrow, havin' fun/ But dorsum dwelling house he'll always run/ To sugariness Melissa"

Rationale: Hither, the Allman Brothers sing about a traveling musician who can't get over his sweetheart no affair how many other women he meets. She always ends upward resurfacing in his mind, and somewhen, he always returns to her.

"My Onetime Man" - Joni Mitchell

Most romantic lyrics: "He's my sunshine in the morning time/ He's my fireworks at the cease of the solar day/ He's the warmest chord I ever head/ Play that warm chord, play and stay, baby"

Rationale: Mitchell's soaring mezzo-soprano meanders through a portrait of her relationship in this song, insisting throughout that, "We don't need no slice of newspaper from the metropolis hall." She's saying that she doesn't need external validation of the human relationship―this man gives her all she needs to feel secure in their bond.

"Devil In a New Apparel" - Kanye Due west, Rick Ross

Nearly romantic lyrics: "Put your hands to the constellations/ The way you expect should be a sin, you my sensation"

Rationale: Kanye Due west is a pretty polarizing figure, only this is still i of my favorite albums of all time. It'southward a bittersweet tribute to his infamous relationship with Bister Rose, and this song encapsulates the often-sexy, e'er-complicated connection between two people who aren't good for each other, withal can't stay away from one some other.

"Dearest of My Life (An Ode to Hip Hop)" - Erykah Badu, Mutual

About romantic lyrics: "But that is all behind me/ 'Cause now there is no other/ My love is his and his is mine/ A friend became the/ Honey of my life"

Rationale: Conventional communication tells us to fall in love with someone who can exist our  friend, too. This song is about two lifelong best friends who find their style dorsum to each other after time spent apart. With her famously beguiling vocalism, Erykah Badu captures the joy of beingness truly known by one's partner.

"A Sunday Kind of Honey" - Etta James

Most romantic lyrics: "I want a Dominicus kind of honey/ A love to concluding past Saturday night/ I desire to know it's more than than dearest at first sight"

Rationale: Nosotros've all been at this point before. If Etta James were to have written this vocal today, she would have been explaining that she was ill of one-night-stands and Tinder/Bumble/Hinge dates that go nowhere. She'd be saying she was tired of sweaty strangers in bars shouting into her ear, over deafening music, asking if she wants to take a shot.

Instead, she'd want something substantial. Someone to relax and binge Schitt's Creek reruns with on the weekends.

May we all find that Sun kind love.

"Baby I'thou Yours" - Arctic Monkeys

Most romantic lyrics: "Baby, I'one thousand yours/ And I'll be yours until the stars fall from the heaven/ Yours until the rivers all run dry/ In other words, until I die"

Rationale: This vocal sounds like information technology was written in the '50s or '60s. In some ways, it's your run-of-the-mill tedious vocal, but in that location's something charming about the Arctic Monkeys being the ones to perform this retro pledge of devotion.

"She Will Be Loved" - Maroon 5

Almost romantic lyrics:"I don't heed spendin' everyday / Out on your corner in the pourin' rain"

Rationale:I remember listening to this song in middle schoolhouse, wishing that the boy I had a shell on would dear me enough to stand up outside my window in the rain. In retrospect, that would have been awkward and inconvenient to explain to my mother, and these days I would probably discover such behavior creepy (when I'm in my pajamas in my apartment, peacefully eating Takis and watching The Sopranos, the last thing I demand is a human being standing outside, watching me from the street like something out of The Exorcist), only the sentiment of this song still stands.

"Because the Nighttime" - Patti Smith

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "Come up on, now, endeavor and understand/ The fashion I feel when I'm in your hands/ Take my manus, come undercover/ They can't hurt y'all now"

Rationale: In this vocal, which was originally written by lyrical legend Bruce Springsteen, Smith promises her lover that he's safe with her. If you lot've read Smith's book Only Kids, you'll probably mind to this song and recall of her and Robert Mapplethorpe singing and dancing to it down the streets of lower Manhattan.

"La Vie En Rose" - Edith Piaf

Almost romantic lyrics: "When he holds me in his artillery/ And he speaks to me softly/ I run into the world through rose-colored glasses" (Translated from French)

Rationale: You lot definitely know this song. Information technology's the go-to for every romantic scene in every American moving picture about France. And, granted, it'due south a cracking choice for a dinner appointment, especially if you want to get a niggling slow dancing started.

"Someday" - The Growlers

Most romantic lyrics: "Just stay for 1 more night/ 1 day you're gonna exist my wife/ You lot'll never have to worry over again/ I'm gonna exist your man"

Rationale: It sounds lead vocaliser Brooks Nielsen's now-wife was getting actually sick of his bullshit, and that he wrote this song as a plea to get her to say. It's poetic, energetic, and hopeful, and information technology would take worked on me, likewise, tbh.

"Wouldn't Information technology Be Nice" - The Beach Boys

Near romantic lyrics: "Wouldn't it be nice if nosotros were older?/ Then we wouldn't have to expect so long"

Rationale: This is sung from the perspective of someone who'south already certain about who he wants to spend the residual of his life with. And he's wishing that the residual of his life could start right now.

"Stay" - Rihanna, Mikky Ekko

Most romantic lyrics: "Non actually sure how to feel about information technology/ Somethin' in the way you lot motion/ Makes me feel similar I can't live without y'all"

Rationale: Love isn't a formula. There'southward no real logic to why we fall in honey with some people but not others, and Rihanna hits the nail on the head when she says it's just "something in the way [he] move[s]." Information technology's reminiscent of The Beatles' song "Something." Speaking of which...

"Something" - The Beatles

Almost romantic lyrics: "Something in the way she moves / Attracts me like no other lover / Something in the way she woos me / I don't want to get out her now"

Rationale:This song is a slow, dreamy ode on an otherwise bluesy anthology. George Harrison was the Beatle who penned information technology, writing that he wasn't certain what exactly triggered his love or whether information technology would abound.  All he knew was that the love was there, and that that should exist enough.

"Androgynous" - The Replacements

Most romantic lyrics: "And they love each other so/ Androgynous/ Closer than we know, honey each other so/ Androgynous"

Rationale: This song is nearly 2 non-binary people falling in dearest, which is pretty cool for a song from 1984. Our main characters, archetypically named Dick and Jane, love each other regardless of gender. The Replacements make a compelling argument almost why traditional gender roles and clothing should make no difference if you're truly in love with someone.

"I'll Be Seeing You lot" - Billie Holiday

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "I'll find you lot in the morning sunday/ In every lovely summer'south twenty-four hour period/ In everything that's right and gay/ I'll always recollect of you"

Rationale: Y'all know when you're freshly in love (or heartbroken), and everything reminds you of that person? That's what this song is about. Everything around Holiday―the natural world, a park, a cafe, a carousel―is a fond reminder of her dear.

"Sun Processed" - Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment

Most romantic lyrics: "Y'all've got to move it slowly/ Have it in my body similar it's holy/ I've been waiting for y'all for the whole week/ I've been praying for you lot, y'all're my Sunday candy"

Rationale: The Social Experiment is the hip hop commonage that boasts members such as Adventure the Rapper and Vic Mensa (the erstwhile of which is featured heavily on this song). Jamila Woods performs the chorus to this vocal and then sweetly that it's easy to forget the sexual implications, and she and Risk tell the story of a couple that spends a calendar week at a time missing each other, absorbed in thoughts of one another until they're finally reunited.

"Come As You Are" - Nirvana

Most romantic lyrics: "Come equally you are/ As you were/ Every bit I want you lot to be"

Rationale: There are many interpretations of what this song means, ranging from mental health to friendship to commentary on inauthenticity. But, to me, "Come up As Yous Are" works as the ultimate grunge love song; as a promise to love and appreciate someone but the style they are.

"Please, Delight, Please" - James Brown

Nigh romantic lyrics: "Baby please, babe delight, please me/ Baby delight, baby please don't go/ Don't get, I said baby, don't baby/ I love you so"

Rationale: This song is almost entirely comprised of James Brownish repeating "please," and, supposedly, he got a lot of flack from his producers about that before its release. Merely, like the Yep Yeah Yeahs' "Maps," this rails's magic lies in the passion with which it's delivered–and James Brown is naught if not passionate.

"I Will Ever Love You" - Dolly Parton

Most romantic lyrics: "And I hope life volition care for you lot kind/ And I promise that you have all/ That you ever dreamed of/ Oh, I do wish you joy/ And I wish you lot happiness/ But above all this/ I wish yous love"

Rationale: Without a doubt, you're familiar with Whitney Houston's rendition of "I Will Always Love You," but I love Dolly Parton'due south soft-spoken, country version as well. Where Houston belts, Parton croons, making this a swell alternative for when you want to hear this song on a quiet evening in.

 "Songbird" - Fleetwood Mac

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "And I wish you all the dearest in the world/ But well-nigh of all, I wish it from myself/ And the songbirds keep singing/ Like they know the score"

Rationale: Fleetwood Mac's members were notorious for hooking upwardly within their ranks, and Christine McVie (author and primary vocalist on this song) was no exception. This is a unique love song, because it does unconditional love unlike any other: Information technology illustrates how it's entirely possible to love someone and want the all-time for them while accepting, albeit sadly, that y'all might not exist that best thing.

"First Day of My Life" - Bright Eyes

Nearly romantic lyrics: "Only I realized I need y'all/ And I wondered if I could come home"

Rationale: This Bright Eyes track makes me wish I was better at playing guitar. Frontman Conor Oberst makes a frank plea for his dear, telling her, "I'1000 glad I didn't die earlier I met you," and asking for permission to approach. Information technology'southward an practice in startling honesty, and the result, like the whole album, is profound.

"Bounding main of Love" - True cat Power

Nearly romantic lyrics: "Come with me, my dearest/ To the sea, the sea of love/ I wanna tell you lot/ How much I honey you "

Rationale: Originally, the last song on this list was going to be T.I.'south "Whatever You Similar" because I'yard determined that it will play at my wedding 1 day (I'g non kidding), but "Sea of Honey" is too romantic to pass up. With minimal instrumentation, True cat Power delivers a cursory but heartfelt dearest letter whose genius lies in its profound simplicity. ten/x.
